Lanie George, founder of Redeeming Joy, rescued her mother from sexual exploitation and walked alongside her in her journey toward healing and wholeness. Lanie herself is also a survivor of sexual trafficking and has dedicated her life to helping other victims find freedom.
Cutting the Ribbon
Redeeming Joy was officially established as an organization and we began offering our signature training, "Walking Alongside the Wounded", to volunteers and community members.
We moved into a larger, beautiful home with room enough to serve up to twelve ladies at a time.
Founder Lanie George was named a finalist in the Charlotte SEED20 program.
Home, Sweet Home
Our first home opened, capable of housing two survivors at a time.
The Next Chapter
In October, we packed up our rented house and are now getting ready for what God has planned for the future of Redeeming Joy. We plan to open a new home of our own in 2019, and in the meantime continue the training and advocacy parts of this ministry. Stay tuned for what is next!
